We can come by between classes. Usually I use that time to copy over my class notes with a system of different colored pens. But it's been pointed out to me that that's, you know...insane.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

That was before he showed up. Accident like the downed powerlines and fences and other buildings?

I'm tickled that they addressed the fact that Carter is always going into dangerous situations and how ridiculous it was.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

The last tree fell right before Sherrif Andy got there and I kinda thought maybe the suitcase he came in got transported along that road. But, hey, at least SARAH was targeting him!

Man, I have so missed this show! It's good to have Eureka back on my TV.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I wouldn't have minded if Andy became a deputy, but no biggie.

Sadly, I saw the preview for next week, and Poochie is still around. I was kinda hoping they'd Chuck Cunnigham him out of existence.

Ha, my TiVo cut off before the preview finished. Well, maybe they'll off him this season. Something we can all root for!

Yeah, Andy really avoided a lot of the pitfalls of 1) new character that you're not supposed to root for over the character they are "replacing" and 2) a Eureka signature experiment.

Torchwood:

Yeah. So. Screw that.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Eureka: I didn't like when they said Dr. Blake was involved in the wreck and then went to the accident scene. It reminded me of Roswell and Alex and then turned out to be nothing. They should have saved such a powerful psych out for something more significant.

Based on the flailing here and praise for it in highly unexpected quarters elsewhere, I spent the evening watching Torchwood. As someone who's never been able to sit through an episode before: hey, that was pretty good, mostly.

RTD did basically do Buffy S5 without the "they made her out of me" cheat. And I genuinely salute him for that. I can't judge the character stuff, because I've never been able to sit through an entire episode before. There are certainly bits I could carp about, starting with the score, but as far as doing "The Cold Equations" writ large, well done.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Did you watch all 5 days already?
