Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

God, I love Ianto. I'm in love with Captain Jack, but I love Ianto. In the third radio play he has a great speech. Doll. I need the right Ianto icon.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Torchwood, Day Three:

The 456 are creepy. Thrashing frightens me.

I think there was too much time spent on Mr. Frobisher this episode. Not that interesting. But I agree with your point.

I do think it was too talky, on the whole, but they had to fit the exposition in somewhere.

Day two was so very active that this palls in comparison, but I did think that a lot of the Frobisher/PM stuff was them being vague and moody and not actually expositing, so it bored me. I can always do with more of the team. Especially Jack/Ianto.

Compassionately intolerant

Two thoughts on Warehouse 13...it was cool that the female agent actually took her shoes off to go into action...and Hm, bigger on the inside than on the outside.

I'm only a little way into it, so haven't figured out how I feel about it.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

My spec on Children of Earth: i'm only halfway through Day Three, but it occurred to me after the assassination order that perhaps what we'll end up with is a human act of cover up that far exceeds the horror of what they are actually trying to cover up. I have a strong feeling that all the horror will be generated from a few humans actions past and present. Because, so far, the 456 is being pretty level-headed and obliging. "Hi, gonna drop by in a couple of days, get the guest room ready!" "Hi, coming tomorrow!" "Hullo again, I'm here, loved to see you, is the guest room ready?" "Hi, forget about me, let's talk about you, I make no demands!"

Not that the 456 are innocent ("we want your children", eep!), but I still have a feeling that some of the humans involved are going to come out more stained.
