I kinda of assumed that Chuck and Ned had already figured out how to get it on. there was one ep and a shot of the bed with the plastic divider, and it just seemed logical that they were doing it, even if it was just rubbing.

WHOA! There is a massive spoiler for the Robin Hood season/series finale in the first sentence of Fiona's link. If you care at all, don't go there.
The canceling doesn't surprise me after hearing that Armstrong didn't want to continue. It felt as if the fun just went out of the show. I'll miss Richard Armitage in long hair, but I'm sure he'll pop up somewhere else soon.

Having just watched the last episode of Robin Hood I have to ask, Did anyone seriously expect the show to go on? Why didn't they just SAY it was the finale? Quite apart from the faintly courageous, "We are Robin Hood," which was a call back to a previous season, they could not have gone on with the remaining cast. Much as I love George Kennedy...and I really DO, unless they gave Much's character a bionic makeover, Sam Troughton could not have carried the show.
Just seems oddly unrealistic and a waste of opportunity to make a clean break.
Plus, who didn't see the last two scenes coming? Lazy writing, sad to say.

I've not seen it, so I can't answer to the particulars, but Robin of Sherwood did cheerfully carry on after Robin had been shot dead, by introducing a completely new character and having him take up the mantle of the name. Which did mean that they got to explore the son-of-a-Lord variation on the legend as well as the common-man variation, which was nice. So it's not wholly without precedent. But, yeah - pretty bloody unlikely.

Interesting, Fay. I didn't hang long enough with the '84 version to see that turn of events.
And...again...if it had been done, and relatively recently...no point in bringing in the handsome but fairly useless Archer character to try and recreate that scenario. (Although I did like the episode where that element was introduced.)
The only way I think it might have worked is if Armitage stayed and turned his coat. After all, it was his 'army' that made up the vast majority of the audience, I'll wager.

Robin of Sherwood was fab. Aaw. And it had a great cast!
Robin Hood not so much with the fab, and, on balance, I think Tony Robinson's kids' show Maid Marion and Her Merry Men was probably better (and had an awesome theme tune), but I really liked the cross dressing Saracen Djaq.
