Spike: At least give me Wesley's office since he's gone. Angel: He's not gone. He's on a leave of absence. Spike: Yeah, right. Boo-hoo. Thought he killed his bloody father. Try staking your mother when she's coming on to you! Harmony: Well…that explains a lot.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

I am utterly bemused by the Australian girl expecting people to know she was Starbuck sans wig. I mean, if there weren't any other character who wears that same outfit and has long dark hair, then, okay, it would be a different matter. But if she doesn't want to be taken for Boomer, she needs the iconic blonde bob, or an approximation thereof.

Looked like a fun day, though! (And I thought it was a pretty good outfit, wig aside.)

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I thought it was pretty obvious that she was joking about being disgruntled over being mistaken for Boomer. She cracks me up, especially when she plays other characters in the scene and mocks herself. "Cylon."

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Plus, if she's in love with the Chief, she's totally Boomer.

I loved that her friend was Asian Hermione Granger. "What, like Hermione Nguyen? What, Hermione's sponsor child?"

OK, now I'm pissed at BBCA--I finally got around to watching last night's Doctor Who just now, and it got cut off after the fake Doctor was shouting "Bravo, Doctor!" What happened after that?

Art Crawl!!!

But they showed all of it. Huh.

The fake Doctor invites Ten to Christmas dinner. Ten says no and opens the TARDIS. Fake Doctor gets to see the inside of the TARDIS which overawes him.

Fake Doctor asks him why he doesn't have a companion and Ten tells him because they break his heart so fake doctor insists that Ten join him for Christmas dinner - And manages to change Ten's mind. It ends with Ten and FD walking off to have dinner and remember their losses.

Our wings are not tired.

There is a YouTube segment of the last 8 minutes here [link]

How did I manage before YouTube?

But they showed all of it. Huh.

Comcast had it listed as ending at 9:15, when I'm guessing in reality it ended at 9:30. Damnit. That's what I get for not watching it either live or at least soon enough to catch the error and then recording a rerun later in the evening (they showed it three times last night--I could have taped the whole thing!).

ETA: Thanks for the link, Laura!! So sad to hear Ten say that the companions break his heart.

It was a most brilliant thing you missing that segment, Kathy. While searching for it I came across The Tennant Tapes. They were made during the filming of the Easter special. I hadn't seen them before. I am smitten.
