Sir? I think you have a problem with your brain being missing.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

But they showed all of it. Huh.

Comcast had it listed as ending at 9:15, when I'm guessing in reality it ended at 9:30. Damnit. That's what I get for not watching it either live or at least soon enough to catch the error and then recording a rerun later in the evening (they showed it three times last night--I could have taped the whole thing!).

ETA: Thanks for the link, Laura!! So sad to hear Ten say that the companions break his heart.

Our wings are not tired.

It was a most brilliant thing you missing that segment, Kathy. While searching for it I came across The Tennant Tapes. They were made during the filming of the Easter special. I hadn't seen them before. I am smitten.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I totally dug Virtuality.

Watched it on Fox, and the fullscreen didn't have a timeline, so I kept waiting (in fear) for it to be over because I knew it was going to throw me off a cliff at some point. So in a way, I was pleased with how much I got, when I was expecting it to end 45 minutes earlier than it actually did.

The line about democracy, didn't Mal say that (or something to that effect) in the first episode of Firefly?

It's like Sunshine meets Solaris, sorta.

cheerios:

if Fox is counting on fan buzz in a decision to continue with Virtuality, why the frick don't they have at least a splash page for it and a forum? Checked the general forum and I didn't see any threads, and man, I didn't realize how awful those boards were.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I read elsewhere that - no surprise - the ratings were awful. I don't think they are going to get fan support when so few people watched it.

As far as I know, there were never any plans to continue it past the pilot. I'm really not sure why they aired it at all, except that they probably want to release it on DVD at some point.

Now, I'm not sorry that I watched it, but I'm not so masochistic that I would want to own a DVD to repeatedly torture myself with.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Comcast had it listed as ending at 9:15, when I'm guessing in reality it ended at 9:30.

I rerecorded it, adding 5 minutes on at the end and it was just enough. I suppose that they don't have a way of dealing with things that start/end not on the quarter hour. Idiots.
