Honestly, a vampire should be better than a live person at mouth-to-mouth, since they won't have sucked all the oxygen out of the air they're breathing out. OTOH, we originally sacrificed that bit of logic and consistency to give Xander one up over Angel, so I try not to let it bother me too much.
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Fiona - surely everything that bugs you there is equally true of Angel and the Season 1 finale of BtVS? I don't see howJoss is being more consistent than Rusty. I mean, I've not seen the ep of Torchwood, but from what you've said - it sounds like it's six of one and half a dozen of the other. No?
(Although I do agree with Brenda - yay for the Xander empowerment!)
I am in the corner with Fiona. I really enjoy Torchwood and have from the beginning. LOVE Ianto, Rhys, well, all of the characters really. But Fiona and I are the same regarding eps 8 and 9. Still liked it, there were just the same nits to pick. I can live with them, it just brought me out of the moment for, well, a moment. OTOH, Squee on the guest stars.
Jericho:
The other thing that has kind of detracted a bit is how much the cast has shrunk -Hawkins' kids, Jake's mom, and Gray have all disappeared.
Yes, and Gerald McCreany (sp?) isn't my favoritest-est, but he fit in the show. He gave Jake a chance to be legitimately misunderstood and therefore interesting. Loved the actress that played Jake's Mom so she is missed. I'm thinking in order to bring it back they had to agree to a different show with younger power players and lose most of the relationships. Except for Mimi, Bonnie and Stanley. They were still interesting.
Yeah.
I think it's McRaney.
Well, the cast has shrunk for reasons of $$.
They stripped it down and I'm glad we're not agonizing over Mary/Eric or Jake/Emily. The less Emily the better, I say.
Yeah, the less Emily the better. She really is so useless.
I just attributed the thing in "Prophecy Girl" to Angel having an 18th century Irish layabout's understanding of biology and medicine. I mean, he may have learned a lot about what hurts people over the next 15 decades, but I doubt he spent much time trying to resuscitate them.
BSG: Tigh promo.
a different show with younger power players and lose most of the relationships.
I suppose the execs know what sells, but I always love shows with multi-generational levels of characters. I loved how interconnected Jericho was - I think that helped make it a believable small town.
