A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I think it's McRaney.

Well, the cast has shrunk for reasons of $$.

They stripped it down and I'm glad we're not agonizing over Mary/Eric or Jake/Emily. The less Emily the better, I say.

Yeah, the less Emily the better. She really is so useless.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I just attributed the thing in "Prophecy Girl" to Angel having an 18th century Irish layabout's understanding of biology and medicine. I mean, he may have learned a lot about what hurts people over the next 15 decades, but I doubt he spent much time trying to resuscitate them.

a different show with younger power players and lose most of the relationships.

I suppose the execs know what sells, but I always love shows with multi-generational levels of characters. I loved how interconnected Jericho was - I think that helped make it a believable small town.

I really think that Gerald McRaney was always meant to die the way he did but that some of the other changes - the smaller cast are purely what they could afford. I hope, for example, that we see Gray and Ma Green again.

ION, BSG prequel Caprica appears to be a go:

According to KoenigRules latest radio show, Caprica is approved and shooting in two weeks, and that it's going immediately to series.

that podcast.

ETA: The podcast says it's replacing Flash Gordon. Interesting assuming that their source really is a good one.

Hah, I'd completely forgotten the Xander/Angel mouth-to-mouth thing. Thanks for retrospectively ruining BtVS and Angel for me too!

Edit: I'm joking, of course, but you're right. I need to relax (and spend my spare time imagining the practicalities of television series where half the characters can't actually talk).

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I really think that Gerald McRaney was always meant to die the way he did

Whatsername (Carol Butler? oh, Carol Barbee) talked about this at WonderCon. They knew from the beginning that he was going to die because he was the highest authority in the Jericho, and he needed to be taken out so that Jake and Co. would be forced to rise to the challenge.

Yeah, his death seemed organic to me. Even Bonnie's apparent death seems like it is mostly telling a story. The other characters have just...disappeared. Next thing you know, they will be in comas in a hospital for the rest of the show.

(Speaking of the show, I know there are only 7 episodes for this season but when might we know if there will be a new season?)
