You do well to flee, townspeople! I will pillage your lands and dwellings! I will burn your crops and make merry sport with your more attractive daughters! Ha ha ha! Mark my words! Ooh! Ale! I smell delicious ale!

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

He looks good with the long hair.

So was the scuttlebutt that he was hard to work with, and that Henshall wanted out? Anything on Lucy?

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

The Intrepid Cow!

At first, I wondered how patrons got up there. Then I noticed that the right hind leg was an elevator! And the utters were puffing out steam!

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I'm grateful that I was not tempted enough by Primeval to ever try it. I loves me some bad SciFi, but the conversation here would lead me to believe it isn't bad enough to be entertaining.

Well, it can be. Comes and goes. They're not good on gender issues particularly (although Abby has apparently learned to wear more than just underpants in the house, yay), and their UK is rather white (although a new cast member is a woman of Middle Eastern descent), and the plot logic is close to Swiss cheese. But they have so much fun with the dinosaurs and mammoths and other critters.

And Rex is adorable. Also in series 3 they introduce these two really cute critters, sort of like badger/ferret things.

And sometimes the story works. And Helen and Lester are both consistently entertaining, in their respective Evil Mastermind and Skeevy Politician ways.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Pushing Daisies: I was NOT satisfied by the ending, but that is because I pine for the piners and therefore apparently ship Olive/Ned.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I appreciated the effort they put into wrapping up as much they could, though -- it was thoughtful closure for the characters and respectful of the fans.

(Would have preferred to have the stuff planned for the next season, though. Ned's father! Olive, dealing with learning about Ned's special power! And you know that Chuck would have separation problems with her aunts when they weren't on tour! And so on!)

I loved, though, that we got a CGI sweeping tour of the places we've been on the show, which made me choke up as much as the actual goodbyes -- and that we got a very last shot of Digby running through the flowers.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Yup, Theo is me. I think they made a valiant effort scrounging together odds and ends of footage and gave us about as much closure as was possible.

But DAMNIT, next season would have been so good!

Art Crawl!!!

Well, that makes sense in the way that making a Big Screen version of the show didn't.

Art Crawl!!!

Season 4 of Torchwood likely a go - depending on how this summer's mini does.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I really hope Children of Earth goes well, not only because I like the show, but because I want them to be rewarded for thinking through the airing schedule and DVD release. It seems like and anti-piracy plan, but in a positive way.
