Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I like that they sent him off in a manner that he would have liked. Also, that his friends and family could remember him in a way that he would have liked.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Plus, you get a whole of comfort mileage out of "that's what he would have wanted". I think it is wonderful that they were able to do that. I'm sorry for their loss, but so glad for them that they were able to give the young man a send-off with some joy to it.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

When I read that article earlier, I liked the bit where the light flashed and the sound went at the end. I liked them being able to think of him as whirling off into the universe.

The status is NOT quo.

I'm x-posting from Bitches because I know most of the Boxed Set denizens will love this.

Jumping to the end to say that anyone who likes Bowie or 80s movies even a little bit must watch the best review of Labyrinth EVER. Warning: may cause you to spit coffee on your monitor.

Victor linked to this in LJ. LOVE.

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

Excellent, Kristin.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Watch Richard Dean Anderson age: [link]

The shots of him on "The Facts of Life" and "The Love Boat' are something...

Ha! That was excellent, Kristin.

"Package!" Indeed.

Heh, the summary of his Love Boat storyline is also something.

Carter Randall, Julie's cousin, is sailing on the cruise with his fiancée Muffy, played by Linda Blair. In a serious case of "cold feet", Carter begs Julie to help him back out of the wedding by getting Muffy to fall in love with another man. However, the "other man" ends up being Carter, in a cowboy disguise.

Poor guy. I bet "cowboy disguise" sounded like a foolproof plan! And I love the idea of Linda Blair as Muffy. Oh, television.
