My love for Torchwood grows with every repeat. I wonder if it's knowing about Tosh and Owen that changes it so in retrospect. I have very little of the hesitations I had the first time round.
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I liked the first season much better on rewatch. I definitely think it's knowing more about the characters that helps. And the unreasoning love.
Everything is so much sadder. Toshiko got fake or almost love two episodes in a row, and it's a sniffler.
I have really enjoyed the rewatch.
I think I have Big Thinky about Toshiko, but during the fact I had a hard time vocalizing it. But now, knowing it's all going to close, it's just so interesting. I'll wait until the rewatch is complete if I can.
Pssst. Gina Torres is on Pushing Daisies, tonight!
I can't wait, Liese. I hadn't thought I'd want to rewatch, but I can't tear myself away.
Sail--thanks for the heads up. I'm not a PD fan, but I do love Gina.
So, Doug Henshall is gone from the Primeval credits, with the DC guy in his place. I'm kinda scared the change might stick. They're running out of academics.

I think you've hit it right on the nose. Knowing where Owen and Tosh go is HUGE.

Yeah! I can't believe there hasn't been more PD talk. LOVED last week's (though I only caught up on it tonight). And Fred Williamson's cameo tonight was hysterical. If Gina Torres ends up playing who I think she's playing, this just makes the show so much more of a win to me (still a little behind due to falling asleep on the couch earlier).
Pushing Daisies. I am going to miss this show. A lot. The main cast is perfect (Olive in anybody's else's hands I'd find intolerable, but KC makes her amazing). I just hope they follow up on George Hamilton as Ned's dad next week or that will be a mystery we never get the answer to (except perhaps in comic form).
I realized, watching PD, that in my heart, the characters will continue to have life and adventures. Which sounds corny, I know, but that's how real they are to me. It's just so sad that I won't get to see them.
What you said, Theodosia. Loved this week's episode. It was just so damn good.
