'Touched'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

My flist reports that Chuck and Dollhouse were renewed but Sarah Connor Chronicles wasn't.

Damn it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Well they're out of Buy More, so that can cut down on casting costs.

Sad about T:SCC. BAG and Lena Headey need to move on to good things. Summer Glau needs good representation since she's so meek.

“Not dead yet!”

man, but this renewal is coming at a price:

It is, but we were seeing some of that in the later eps of the season-- I think they must have suspected something like this would be requested, hence some of the plot lines introduced towards the end of the season. It would be easy enough with Casey now being a Colonel to have him be in charge of the Intersect program and bring the General's appearances down considerably. Anna could stay in Hawaii and have Morgan come back. Big Mike could marry Morgan's mom and go on a honeymoon. Jeffster could become a viral hit and go on tour (please no, we need them around!).

Anyhow, it'll be interesting, but I think they can do it especially with the changes to Chuck's Intersect 2.0

I liked T:SCC way, way more than Dollhouse, but I can't really fault Fox for pulling the plug. The T:SCC folks pissed around way too much in February and March. I had to force myself to finish some episodes.

I thought it kind of squandered the potential it displayed in the first season.

On the flip side, WHEEE! More Chuck! And I agree with and like Barb's ideas to thin the cast, but I do hope Anna stays. Out of all the Buy More crew, she has the most logical reason for still appearing, after all, being Morgan's girlfriend. I think Big Mike, as amusing as he was, could definitely be knocked down to a guest appearance or two, max. Same with the general and Emmett.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Great Chuck news. I just hope to budget cuts don't hurt too glaringly.

FOX upfronts: Terminator dead. Sorry.

Compassionately intolerant

Sad, but not unexpected. I am in the 'if I like it, it won't last' club.

I do hope the actors get more opportunities.

Thomas Dekker, as much as people didn't like the John character, really is an actor. Have you seen him in interviews? That voice! High-pitched and anxious...not John at all.

And I really did love BAG's work. Reminds me of how Patrick Dempsey and John Cryer were relegated to teen idol status in the 80's and have now made good. Kudos.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Just seen first writer response. They're moving to Fringe as they just landed a job on it. FOX and Warners kept them completely in the dark, they read it on Variety. Josh says it's not being shopped to other networks.

I think Summer may be doing a Joss project shortly. Thomas is movie'ing. And gettin' naked. [link]

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

They're moving to Fringe as they just landed a job on it.

Well, that's good that they got gigs! And on a show I already watch and that's been improving, which will only be improved more by their presence.

FOX and Warners kept them completely in the dark, they read it on Variety.

Yeah, that's fucking lame.
