Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

She went up and up and up

I thought she was on the 13th floor that is usually skipped - the light went to 14 and then no light and then the door opened ( she was going down from the restaurant, I thought).

Totally the White Room, though.

Oh, man, the family drama, that is harder to wrap my brain around than multiverses.

yeah, that was totally obvious. Most buildings usually have a 13 in the elevator, but call it the 14th floor.

If they call the 13th floor the 14th... what do they call the 14th floor?

Trust my rage

When I was little, my dad worked in a building like that. I always thought it was funny. I wonder if they do that in buildings built today?

So if someone gets in the elevator and you're standing in front of the buttons, and they ask you to push the button for the 17th floor, you're supposed to push the one labelled "18"? See, I can handle just not having a "13" button, but ... I don't think I can handle this. Good thing I don't have an office job in a skyscraper.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

No, you just push the button with the number they ask for. If they're overthinking it that much, they can find a stairwell themselves.

There was a whole horror movie based in the premise of the 13th floor that you can only sometimes get to. It was not very good.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

There was also the sci-fi movie The Thirteenth Floor, which I recall liking.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I learned on CSI that casino elevators have to take into account not only Western "bad" numbers (13), but also those of the Japanese and other cultures who are heavily represented in the Vegas tourist industry.
