Hmmm. I think I'll hold off saying anything until you've seen "Journey's End."
Yeah.
I'm thinking that's a good idea.
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Yeah.

Clearly the medicine Shir needs is the Sarah Jane Adventures and Torchwood in marathon viewing.
Yeah. Journey's End. Ho boy.
I rewatched Stolen Earth today and it was only slightly less anxiety making than the first time. And I have to wait a whole week for Journey's End!
Matt, I remember you were lamenting the idea of no more Sean Maguire in Cupid--did you know he's the lead in Krod Mandoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire on Comedy Central?
I finally gave in and watch "The Next Doctor" on YouTube. Not my preferred method of viewing things, but Lea's down in Boston for something, and I've got some time on my hands.
Liked it a great deal more than I expected. (I'd had a bad feeling about it, from the previews I'd seen.) Still, Giant, steampunk Cybermen are pretty much right up my alley, and I found myself liking David Morrissey as sort of an odd, Victorian parody of the Doctor, both of his time and yet ... Doctorish. On the whole, not very deep, but a good bit of fun.
There was a lot I liked about Caprica and a lot I didn't.
I'm kind of amazed that SciFi greenlit it, to be honest - if BSG wasn't considered commercially viable, this is going to be a MUCH harder sell. Do they really think that audiences who failed to tune in to sexy killer robots for 4 years were just waiting for a show where middle-aged men talk slowly to each other about religion??
Still, there are elements in here that remind me of Isaac Asimov and Frank Herbert, and I'm really eager to see where it goes.
In a way, I hope RDM backs away from this project so it can be written as its own entity and not as a BSG prequel. The pilot is a bit too weighed down by the events we know are coming, and we get a lot of "As we all know..." scenes because of it. The writers all need to keep in mind that this is not a Bill Adama biopic. Bill Adama in this show is just some kid.
There is also quite a bit of full frontal nudity which I assume will be edited out in the broadcast version. If full frontal nudity appeals to you, I recommend the DVD.
Oh, man, Shir. What they all said. Good luck, mate.
Matt, I remember you were lamenting the idea of no more Sean Maguire in Cupid--did you know he's the lead in Krod Mandoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire on Comedy Central?
Yep, embarrassingly enough I have all three episodes to date recorded to DVD (though only the first two were funny). Thanks for thinking of me!
By the way, Sean's supposed to re-appear on next Tuesday's Cupid.
Do you have to wait a week, Shir?
Hope not, but probably will.
One isn't pretty when have to wait to emotional season finales with the feeling that they'll end up bad, you know.
Edit: gonna watch JE now. Wish me luck. gulp
Mwahahahahahahahaha!
For mine is an evil laugh.
