There used to be a website named SyFy Portal, I recall. It looks like they just changed their name to Airlock Alpha.
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Considering that SciFi is showing increasingly less science fiction and increasingly more unrelated crap, I feel a certain amount of relief that they'll have a name more fitting for non-sf crap.
I just checked, and there's an existing esseff.com.
P-C, syfy portal sold their domain to an undisclosed buyer.
Ah, interesting. Thanks. I knew the "SyFy" name was familiar.
I thought the name change was just a medication-induced hallucination. April come early. But seriously? Seriously?
I have a random preview-generated question. I don't watch The Ghost Whisperer, I just see the previews. What's up with her dead husband? I can't believe I'm curious, but inquiring minds want to know.
Sorry y'all - there was no cell reception anywhere in the building, so I couldn't check back OR post! I couldn't even get to Twitter! It was like the dark ages!
The SyFy (ugh) publicist kept RDM in interview mode for the whole party so I didn't get a chance to corner him about how I *totally called the end of the show* two or three years ago, only at the time I thought I was joking. MMcD and EJO were likewise mobbed with fans, and everyone else in the cast must have been off working on their new shows or something.
Also,RDM made the entire audience swear a no-spoilers oath before the screening, so my eyes rolled out of my head and under a chair somewhere and I missed the whole thing. (Just kidding. But since this was the only screening and they're not sending out DVDs, I'm going to keep my word and not spoil.)
The only non-press person I really talked to was CFerg, who I told to post on B.org more. (And, PS, now that I know you're lurking you have no excuse not to at least log in and say hi. HI COLIN!)
There were no swag bags. Stupid economy. I was really hoping for a Caprica DVD.
Four more days, four more days.
Eureka. I miss that wacky little town. July, right?
What's up with her dead husband? I can't believe I'm curious, but inquiring minds want to know.
I think her dead husband is now in some other guy's body, but he doesn't know or something? I saw an episode with my mom and didn't really get it either.
About Ghost Whisperer
I think her dead husband is now in some other guy's body, but he doesn't know or something? I saw an episode with my mom and didn't really get it either.
I see about half the episodes, while I'm at work. Well, hubby did die, then his spirit hopped into the body of some guy who died. He then had "amnesia" and could remember neither his own life nor the life of the body that he jumped into. The body-guy's parents wanted to take him home some hours away, but he resisted, and ended up living in the GW's garage, being her handyman because he felt more comfortable with her. In this form, he has not been wanting to discuss ghosts, or believe in them, or be confronted with them - so she has had to keep her work a secret. But last week, she was in mortal danger, so a ghost who had been hanging around told the geeky professor side-kick where she was. Hubby just happened to be on hand to see the side-kick go to the rescue, and then see how side-kick was willing to jump into an underground chamber quickly filling with water in spite of not being a good swimmer because of what the ghost said - that hubby decided he had to take a leap of faith in ghosts, and take that dive himself. So, he dives, swims, gets caught, nearly dies, had his life (as hubby) pass before his eyes. He gets to ... what's her name, anyway? Amanda? Melissa? with the tools to get out of the chamber, and he totally remembers that he is her husband. Except of course, he has no memory of being dead, nor of jumping into another body. So she had to keep him away from mirrors until she got the chance to explain.
What they are going to tell the parents of his body, I don't know.
