Ha ha ha ha. Well played.
'War Stories'
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Hee.
“We couldn’t own Sci Fi; it’s a genre,” said Bonnie Hammer, the former president of Sci Fi who became the president of NBC Universal Cable Entertainment and Universal Cable Productions. “But we can own Syfy.”
Ay-yi-yi.
I think that's spelled "Ay-yy-yy" now. It's easier to text that way.
Ayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.
“We couldn’t own Sci Fi; it’s a genre,”
We couldn't own ABC; it's the alphabet.
We couldn't own Showtime; it's a noun.
We couldn't own Disney; it's a corpo—okay, actually, we do own Disney.
That channel - the one which is also an ENTIRE genre but can't figure out how to spell it's name?
It's going to air sneak peeks of SGU during the SG1 movies which will be shown on March 27th and April 3rd.
Any questions/comments for BSG cast & crew? Leaving for the screening/upfronts in 5 minutes.
Who do they (both cast and crew) think had the most interesting character arc? (I want to hear someone say Gaeta, damnit!)
Did everything that the creators/writers had planned on getting into the show make it in over the course of four years?
Do they know that they're going to be in demand at SF conventions for the rest of their lives?
ETA: Damnit, I just noticed the time stamp. Missed her!
Honestly, it's not that SciFi is changing their name, it's that they're changing it to something really really stupid.
I am a-boggle. Dumb spelling, and SyFy sounds/reads exactly zero broader than Sci-fi in terms of what might be aired. God. Someone(s) got paid, and probably a shitload, to come up with that, which, if it were good, wouldn't be bad, but it's really bad, so I resent that person/company's fee!
