Spike: We got a history, him and me. Fred: What? Spike: It was a long time ago. He was a young Watcher, fresh out of the academy when we crossed paths. It was a, what-you-call battle of wills and blood was spilled. Vendettas were sworn. It was a whole-- Fred: My God you're so full of crap. Spike: Yeah. Okay.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

But I thought the Cylons had a plan!

Judging by what the Cylons have accomplished, not a very good plan, sort of like Cheney's plan for post war Iraq.

He's a total jackass, but sometimes he gives interesting info (talking about how the ep was originally concieved and the changes that were made along the way) so I keep listening.

This is me, except I'd say "can be kind of a" jackass "sometimes." I do remember the podcast you're talking about, Matt, and I remember thinking @@, dude, comes with the territory, and just because you think it, doesn't mean you need to say it out loud. On a recording. If you engage with fans, you're going to get the horns sometimes.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Any Sarah Connor Chronicles fan needs to read this post about the last episode. It's so good it got linked on the official blog.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Also, so very tired of Sam having to constantly coddle and apologize to Andi, something I'd hoped was a thing of the past once she knew about the existence of the supernatural and its role in his life.

In all fairness, he was apologizing for something that was very real world- taking off and not telling her where he was. And he was an idiot for giving the letter to Sock to mail. She was right to be angry about that, because you don't give anything to Sock if you really want it to get done.

I was unhappy that the just "made up" at the end, because he might have a chance to get out of his deal with the Devil.

And was anyone else suspicious about that? Not that I wasn't happy to see Sean Patrick Thomas on my screen (theatre alum from my school, go Hoos!), but why wouldn't the Devil's device work? So if you sell your soul, but manage to get out of hell, you're free? WTF?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I thought the guy was the escaped souls' living human Renfield, and was pretending otherwise so he could get the Vessel from Sam and release them all again. But the Devil's compliments about catching them would seem to belie that.

True, but at the same time you'd think it might occur to her that a guy working for the Devil and getting constant visits from his boss could occasionally run into issues that would interfere with being an attentive boyfriend. Ditto for someone who got to see his father buried alive by demons. I forget, does Andi know what Sam found out about supposedly being the Devil's son? That little nugget of information could certainly be expected to send someone off the rails.

yes, but when you call, they might answer the phone and then you have to actually talk to them.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Being Human question: Did Owen get captured for food? Was that him with shorter hair who appeared to Annie in episode 6 to plead for the ones still living?

Mitchell wasn't really the brightest of them, was he? I couldn't help but hearing "Turn two--the rest are food" throughout most of the vampire sales pitch.
