Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Black Canary hooked up with Green Arrow.

That's right. (Who was voiced by that guy from General Hospital.)

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

yes, and Black Canary hooked up with Green Arrow.

Which is traditional.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Somewhere back in my crap at my mom's house I have an old Green Arrow/Green Lantern team up comic which has them traveling around together with Black Canary along as well.

Also in the issue, Canary discovers a white dog with super powers...

I do not have the second part of that storyline, but I assume it was Krypto.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Hmmm. Torri Higginson's listed height is 5' 8 1/2". And Kavan's supposedly how tall again? [link]

Apparently Jonathan Woodward was a guest at Pegasus 3, and looking rough. Which is a bit worrisome in tandem with reports that he did his Q&A session hammered.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Torri Higginson's listed height is 5' 8 1/2". And Kavan's supposedly how tall again?

Are you trying to measure Kavan? Torri is about that height, but without knowing how far back Kavan's standing, and on what he's standing, and about Torri's shoes I couldn't do the math.

Hmm. I found another one from that set where they seem to be at equal distance from the camera and their knees line up, so probably no more than an inch shorter than she. Unless Torri's wearing high heels and has freakishy short shins, anyway.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I feel like Jack loves Gwen the way you love wildflowers. If you rip them up and take them home, they're not the same thing anymore. They're pretty in your house for a while and then they die. You have to love them right where they are and not really touch them too much. And he knows this. And it sort of kills him. So that's why he says "go home to Rhys" and then gets annoyed when she does.

For those of you who also watched the Blade TV series (all 13 episodes before it was axed), this coming Tuesday it will be released on DVD.

That's still one of those cliffhangers that leaves me unsatisfied. Dammit, I HATE when series end seasons on a cliffhanger, particularly for this reason -- if there's a possibility you won't be renewed, wrap up the storyline for the sake of your viewers. Or at least this viewer.
