Everybody dies, Tracey. Someone's carrying a bullet for you right now, doesn't even know it. The trick is to die of old age before it finds you.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Well, there are 12 models. There were 13. That's how I do the math in my head. #7 was always missing too, I suspect sloppily by the writers.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

#7 was always missing too, I suspect sloppily by the writers.

Yeah, they made Sharon #8 before they'd come up with the 7/5 split.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

If you've been on the 13 train, it does. But we've been told this whole time that there were twelve models.

We always (more or less) knew Sharon was eight. Did we never twig that there was a number missing? Honestly, I can't believe that in how many years I never did - did anyone on the show?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I thought Cavil OWNED the episode, or rather the actor, whose name I'm entirely forgetting this morning.

Also the Helen/Ellen actor -- she was damn good, with enough of the Ellen we knew overlaid in the Helen.

And we're starting to get the Answers and they're holding together enough, not to mention posing further Questions that in retrospect seem inevitable yet surprising.

I think the general assumption was that it wasn't a neat numerical split, that Tyrol or Anders or any of the other five were model 7, or at least that was what I personally walked away with.

I thought exactly what Juliebird did, as for what model was number what -- though it was INDEED consistent that they referred to the five as the Final Five, which should have tipped me off, in retrospect.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Some people on Mo Ryan's blog are speculating that Baltar is Daniel.

Let me say here that if this comes to pass, you will hear the sound of my head exploding.

And not in a good way.

I think it's safe to say we haven't met Daniel yet.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Did we never twig that there was a number missing?

Actually, it's been driving me crazy for ages. Ask my wife if you don't believe me. When the almost-Final Four wee revealed I was like, "What? Still no Seven?" I think I even suspected at one point that the Sevens had been boxed. But gone works, too. Except ...

Who wrote the prophecies of Pythia? Who built the Statues of the Five? Who brought Starbuck back, and what's all this prophecy stuff around her?

A surviving "Seven" (Whether it's Starbuck, Starbuck's dad or what not) may go a long way toward answering some of those questions.

I am the opposite of Victor in that the math problem of Sharon being an eight and the Final Five equalling thirteen never even entered my brain. Which I find sort of frightening but mostly just really hilarious.

I don't think we've met Daniel yet, and I do think there will be a Starbuck connection.
