Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

ita, I believe that was originally planned but the actor then withdrew because of other commitments . Same goes for Freema, incidentally.

What I want to know is: is Peter Capaldi playing Malcolm Tucker? 'Cos that would up the swearword count to significantly post-watershed .

TVShowsondvd is reporting that the dvd of the Caprica pilot is going to be available April 21st - suggesting that the pilot will be aired before that time.

Interesting.

Smallville: I wish that Clark had given up Lana without extremely stupid green rock intervention. For example, why was there no way for somebody who wasn't Clark to defuse the bomb? Absorbing the kryptonite was the most ridiculous solution to that problem.

But thank goodness Lana is gone.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Lex Luthor dies more than Apothis.

Yes, I can't take his "death" seriously.

Was Chris Gauthier's evil toymaker character from the comics?

I thought he did an EXCELLENT job as an evil genius.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Not very flattering to Clark, him only wanting Lex dead for breaking up his relationship, not any of his actually dangerous and illegal deeds. Makes Ollie look much more moral, albeit harsh.

Now, ita, where are your priorities - clearly Lana is so much more important than the entire rest of the world.

As long as she stays gone, she can be whatever she wants. Whew!

Thanks for the timing info, DCJ. I had honestly thought they'd keep him more isolated.

I was honestly liking their retrofitting of Smallville better without Lex and Lana.

Daniel, so do I. I really thought I would miss Lex but I really don't.

And particularly since in recent seasons Lex usually means Lana too.
