Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Nothing on Farscape grossed me out as much as Fringe yanking the eye out of the socket for some of their most ludicrous pseudo-science yet.

Oh, thank God I stopped watching this after the killer Lunesta butterflies episode. I'll put up with watching eye trauma for Ben Browder and Claudia Black, but no one on Fringe is worth going through that to me.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I've been told I need to eventually watch Fringe because one of the main characters is verrrry similar to my Dad. I don't know how I feel about that.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

And for some reason, I am reminded of SpyDaddy and "What's a spork?"

It's all of the black suits.

Is your Dad a Mad Scientist, Jilli?

I'm enjoying Fringe. . . I think that this may have been the last John Scott epsiode. (That article about Anna Torv and Mark Valley getting married did say that his last episode was coming up.)

I'm hoping this means that Pacey/Olivia starts moving along. Or possibly Astrid/Pacey. . . so difficult.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

oh! for some reason I didn't think this was the last, but makes sense that they would want to resolve this storyline soon. the water tank thing was getting played out.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

I'm enjoying Fringe. . .

Me, too. The pseudoscience is admittedly ludicrous, but I love the plotting and the characters. Everyone's growing into their roles nicely: Olivia's more assertive and action-hero-y, Peter gets more to do than be speaker to Walter, Charlie isn't defaulting to Scully mode. Enjoying it immensely.

I wish that they'd give Charlie more to do than be Olivia's errand boy. She acts like his boss, but I don't think that she is.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

And they're developing Astrid as well. I loved her little "I know." There are other people who know what epistaxis is, Peter!

I don't know what to think about "Oh John Scott was actually a good guy." That's a very J.J. Abrams thing to do, and I don't know whether it fits with what we saw before.
