Can't even shout, Can't even cry. The Gentlemen are coming by. Looking in windows, knocking on doors. They need to take seven, and they might take yours. Can't call to mom, can't say a word. You're gonna die screaming but you won't be heard.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Maybe in, um, "The Sound of Drums"?

That sounds right. (And really, I should *know* because we just mainlined all of S3 last week. Of course the downside to mainlining 13 eps at once is they kind of start to blend together. Except for Blink, which still hasn't finished creeping me the fuck out.)

Ann, that's a ferret.

UNIT's always been the good guys, and indeed, the Doctor worked for them for a couple of years. So it's really just a harken back to old days, with no reason to see anything sinister.

But how would Ianto look in one of their red caps? And would that be innovative or avant garde?

Our TW got cut off about 2 seconds after Owen was shot. So one vote of relief that BBCA repeats the ep so many times that we were able to catch the last 45 seconds later.

I'm not sure I like the idea of Martha replacing Owen. Owen's cynicism added a certain spice to the team dynamic. While Ianto's snark is welcome, it isn't quite as pure as Owen's style.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

UNIT's been at least mentioned before on New Who. Maybe in, um, "The Sound of Drums"?

All the way back to the first season, when "alien experts" were beign gathered, and then killed by the Slitheen. Nine says somethign like, "Hey! I know them. They're from UNIT. Good people."

But how would Ianto look in one of their red caps? And would that be innovative or avant garde?

Hmmm. I'd say more retro. But then, one imagines Jack has ideas the rest of us can't fathom.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Except for Blink, which still hasn't finished creeping me the fuck out.

Let me know if that effect ever wears off. It's been months, and I still feel uneasy going past a churchyard with angel statuary.

UNIT's been at least mentioned before on New Who.

I think they were in "The Christmas Invasion" as well.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Ack! Scared of statuary still!

(And on a personal note, what's worse is that the SO has taken a really gorgeous photograph of a stone praying angel in a garden. It's an unbelievably lovely shot, with the angel taking up most of the frame, but out of focus, and a rose in the foreground, in focus, with the petals just gracing the edge of the angel's wing. It was shot at the hospital where my grandmother died. Totally wrought with emotion, and a lovely piece of artwork. And now totally scary!)

Letting Owen accept a date offer from Tosh before being offed was just mean. Almost Tim-level mean.

Oh, and my Tivo cut out then, too. What happened in the last 45 seconds?

Really did like the Owen interaction with Martha.
