Now I did a job. I got nothing but trouble since I did it, not to mention more than a few unkind words as regard to my character so let me make this abundantly clear. I do the job. And then I get paid.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Huh - I though she said "It's all arranged" as if she (and the others) had a specific plan to come back.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Sophia - you were spoiled for the webisodes by comments about "Sometimes a Great Notion"?

A comment in the webisodes before the actual episode aired talked about Ellen Tigh and Kara finding her own body.

Art Crawl!!!

Oh.

Stupid Hulu commenters.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Oh, I was thinking you meant a comment in one of the actual webisodes themselves. I was trying to think back where it could have been and realized I didn't like the webisodes enough to watch the whole thing for it.

I didn't know it took place after the televised episode so Gaeta's appearance really does have more impact. I thought he was just depressed about Earth at the time. Poor Dualla.

My take, too. She told him not to worry, because they would be reborn together. Definitely sounded like a plan and not a hope.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Definitely sounded like a plan and not a hope.

Agreed. Now I think the only question is whether it was a small group of them set to come back, or everybody, or somewhere in between.

I've heard people in a church group make just as confident statements about seeing their spouses in Heaven. I think you are probably right, but I still think there is wiggle room.

Agreed - [ETA: snipped, because... extraneous] - but given the context of resurrection as it exists in the BSG-verse, that's not what I took away from it, and I don't think it's what we're meant to take away from it as an audience.

I'm sort of back with ita-- it seems like either Ellen is the final cylon (which seems likely) OR Kara could be reincarnated, but not both. Unless Kara's father is Cavil or reporter guy or Leoban (which would be very WTF), and she is a human/cylon like Athena's daughter.

JenP - Jan 19, 2009 7:12:52 pm PST #6314 of 30001

I haven't formed a theory for Kara, because it's just too weird (and, hey, it certainly threw Leoban for a loop, which was awesome.) I don't have a storyteller's imagination at all, so I can't come up with anything good.
