Early: So is it still her room when it's empty? Does the room, the thing, have purpose? Or do we -- what's the word? Simon: I really can't help you. Early: The plan is to take your sister. Get the reward, which is substantial. 'Imbue.' That's the word.

'Objects In Space'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I would just about argue that it might be better not to watch Razor before watching Season 4.

Compassionately intolerant

So. Apparently John Barrowman can't keep it in his pants.

What could possess him? To paraphrase an old show, "Has success ruined John Barrowman?"

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

the thing is, though, Barrowman is known for not keeping "it" and his arse in his pants.

I guess 1) I don't get that humor and 2) I don't see why someone with so much going for him would choose that route.

Punishingly Intricate

I loved this comment on the article!

The BBC needs to find it's backbone and stop giving into this stupid hysteria. Sounds like a funny radio program - stop trying to become America.

ha!

Er - my impression is that this is pretty much business as usual for Mr Barrowman.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Any ReGenesis fans? I'm just now watching season 1 on hulu. My fear is that the formula is going to grow old in the way that House's has done. But ReG doesn't really have the characters that House does to keep my interest.

Are series 2 or 3 any different?

bonny, a friend of mine just mainlined ReGenesis and loved it all the way through. But she's really into epidemics and stuff.

"That seven years of McGyver finally paid off."

So awesome.

Well, I'm not trying to say you should find it funny, because YMMV, but it does sound a bit like you've misunderstood the situation to me.

I don't see him as "choosing that route" - this is pretty normal Barrowman behaviour, from what little I've gleaned so far. He didn't clean up his act and pretend to be prim or straight in order to become famous - he became famous in spite of being openly gay, and a fairly flamboyant/outrageous kind of British thesp. Or because of it. Or something. But it's not a departure from the norm, afaics.

If people are getting their knickers in a twist about this back home, then it's only because of the recent Brand-Ross fiasco; The Daily Mail readers & co (and The Times is basically The Mail with more polysyllables and fewer pictures of Posh and Becks) are probably eager to have another morality crusade. (Quite missing the point, afaic - the Brand-Ross thing was contemptible because it was cruel, bullying and misogynistic - it was priveliged white straight men getting paid to be playground bullies, but the fact that the target of their cruelty happened to be an old man whose celebrity hinges on a fondly-recalled TV show meant that on this occasion a lot of people got indignant and complained. It wasn't about talking dirty on BBC radio. imho. ymmv.)
