'Conviction (1)'
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Daisies ABC's "Pushing Daisies" wraps production on its 13th episode today and industry sources are buzzing that the network does not plan to order more episodes.
Yet ABC spokesperson says no decision has been made, and series creator Bryan Fuller says he has not heard a verdict.
"We have heard nothing in any official capacity," Fuller says. "Our ABC exec was on the set last night saying they are still swinging in the fight to keep 'Daisies' on the air. Spirits are high and hopeful and everyone here is very proud of our work and this show."
The show will have to be alerted soon to avoid disruption of production.
Fuller has previously said he may return to the writing staff of NBC's beleaguered "Heroes" if "Daisies" is shut down. ABC has only cancelled one series so far this season, the game show "Opportunity Knocks."
Just got word from my source on PD and it's some pretty good news:
"So, we got some news this AM. Keep in mind, this could very well change. At any moment. But as of now, we are 'going down for the season'. Which means that they are planning on starting us back in May for Season 3.
If you can, please let the fans know that they SHOULDN'T stop sending things to ABC. The more that people speak out, the better the chances of us returning. If it gets too quiet, they will pull the plug b/f we get a chance to start season 3. ABC is listening to everyone. And EVERYONE knows of your site."
Poking my head in for a quick Battlestar Galactica Question--
I am just watching the first season and am wondering why Sharon/Boomer is the only pilot with another person aboard-- does she fly a different type of ship, because I swear they keep calling it a raptor?
Also, did the original series have a) Caprica and b) the rest of the planets named after signs of the zodiac?
Short answer - yes and yes.
Starbuck, Apollo, etc fly Vipers, which are the BSG version of fighter jets.
Boomer is a Raptor pilot, which means she mainly flies scouting missions, and flies with a copilot/navigator on board. The Raptors can also carry cargo and passengers.
And the Colonies have always been named for the Zodiac signs.
Yes, on the planets named for the zodiac on the original.
I think Sharon is a raptor pilot. They are more transport and support ships than fighters. The fighter ships are called...uh,..something else.
Vipers! xposty save!
Thank you! I was hearing raptor and viper and conflating them for some reason
I can't keep them straight for the life of me. And what are the Cylon fighters called again?
Wings? Maybe. But there are bigger ships with another name. And the massive ones with yet another name. (So not helpful.)
I have no idea about the cyclon thingies.
I am also wondering if Cheif Tyrol should be my favorite...I just love him, and I feel bad that all the new pilots are his superiors!
