to be fair, they've been pretty good to T:tSCC considering the failing ratings and the fact that the earlier shows had quite a bit of expensive CG. however, i think that had a lot to do with the Writer's Strike and them not having a single pilot or anything else to stick in the timeslot.
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
The X-Files, which Fox originally aired on Friday night?
That was forever ago, though. All new people, right?
I think they're trying to recapture that magic, though. Rebranding Fridays as that kinda sci-fi night again. What do they even show on Fridays right now?
Interview with Ted Raimi - mostly about his roles in Legend of the Seeker and Supernatural.
Loving the intersecting viewpoints in SCC, and the continuation of the totally unhealthy relationship between Cameron and John and then turning that on it's head, referencing a past action and not acting like I might not have watched the last episode (in which case it's my punishment to be confused) by pulling out a flashback (although it's odd that they chose not to, since they've done flashbacks to things that happened ten minutes ago in The Same Episode. Just glad those chose not to dumb it down for once).
Also, loving the beating that Sarah's taking and the whole throwing herself out of the car. Badass!
SCC: Anyone else get an El Mariachi vibe from the showdown at the end?
Sarah was so totally badass in that episode. I loved it. And John had better be getting over his resentful stupids sometime soon.
Sarah was so totally badass in that episode. I loved it.
Who throws herself out of a car? SARAH CONNOR, THAT'S WHO.
Also, I love Chuck so fucking much.
I feel sorry for the policia, who were actually trying to do an honest, smart job -- deducing that identifying the kid as John Connor was incorrect because he so evidently wasn't 24.
I also liked the moment when John's jailhouse call to Sarah was answered in such a way that the viewer could understand that it wasn't her and that John knew it, without it being underlined and emphasized via a cutaway.
Right. SCC was excellent and so was Chuck. (It will be kind of cool to NOT have them on at the same time.)
I actually want to rewatch them both.
I'm also happy that Jill sticks around for a while.
Pushing Daisies is NOT on ABC's midseason schedule.
