Anya Christina Emmanuella Jenkins. Twenty years old. Born on the fourth of July — and don't think there weren't jokes about that my whole life, mister, 'cause there were. 'Who's our little patriot?' they'd say, when I was younger and therefore smaller and shorter than I am now.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

the other woman was a contortionist ! I didn't even think of that! That wasn't crazy special effects; she was actually bending in terribly wrong ways

I actionally cottoned to that right away, and it immediately took me out of the show.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Ha, I did figure that when her arms bent behind her back like that.

I didn't think about it at all because the woman was so good at being a dead-eyed Terminator I just assumed she was actually a robot.

Our wings are not tired.

I thought the robo!chick!fight scenes worked well. Liked the mirroring and mutual recognition moments quite a lot.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The moment I realised she was a contortionist made my stomach jump, but I found it helped the scene.

So the verdict is that she was sent by John? Shouldn't she recognise Cameron, or Cameron recognise her? Cameron at least is a standard model.

At least one of these two needs to grow up.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

That's...what on earth? If George is not his friend - is indeed practically a stranger - why would Shatner expect an invitation? Unless Takei has been proclaiming his non-inviting right, left and centre, unprovoked? I mean, I can totally see that journalist types would ASK him if he was inviting his Trek co-workers, so the subject might have cropped up that way.

Wow, though. I can't imagine being Shatner, and responding that way. Cray. Zee.

ita, it looks like that link goes away after a time (as more stories come in) - I don't see any story about Shatner in there.

Well, that's appalling. But it pretty much matches everything I've heard about Shatner over the years.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I think Nimoy must be a saint to have remained friends with him for so long.
