Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

The Sanctuary dialogue was often stilted and pretentious.

And it was slow moving, and signaled every plot twist well in advance. Don't think I'll watch again. If Buffistas start squeeing I'll watch the one after that happens.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Oh, the video game feel was MUCH worse in the online version. I expected some of the monsters to turn out to be the ghosts from Pac Man.

Compassionately intolerant

I've seen a bunch of Sanctuary episodes and didn't find it getting any better. Cute moments but stories that telegraphed their punchlines waaaay too early.

I feel like I have too many things to watch already.

I like Torchwood much better.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I've seen a bunch of Sanctuary episodes and didn't find it getting any better.

Are these the webisodes or the new full bore ones they made for SciFi?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

There were webisodes?

All is well that ends in pizza.

It started out last year as a web-based project [Link]

It's only now showing as a new series, the first two eps showed Friday night.

If you've seen more eps, I haven't been paying attention to the series enough to see how badly it leaked.

ETA: Web-based, not we-based.

Hmmm, it seems that the first two (three, because of the 2-hour premiere) are pretty much recapping the webisodes. I hadn't realized it was all green-screen (just some).

Also, I haven't praised Christopher Heyerdahl enough. It seems he has a real talent for creating villains you can connect with.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Interview with Jamie Bamber.

Sumi, was that supposed to be a link?

Art Crawl!!!

Yes- fixed now.

For some reason when I "paste" I keep covering up the = sign.

But what I came in to say is that BBCA is running a marathon of Eleventh Hour next Sunday.
