Now hold on, I'm gonna press the right pedal harder. I expect us to accelerate.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

And ever since listening to the podcast where the producer or whoever basically admitted that Zane is Poochie

I keep seeing this reference. Can someone please explain the etymology of "Poochie" for me?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Can someone please explain the etymology of "Poochie" for me?

From the Simpsons ep "The Itchy & Scratchy & Poochie" show -- in which the network suits insist on inserting a Great! new character who's so Hip! and Cool! and Young! And Hip! that all the kids are going to just Love! him automatically... which of course they don't.

That unfortunately reminds me of when Pinky and the Brain became Pinky, Elmyra, and the Brain.

Thanks, amych. I managed to miss the Simpsons (a great cultural blind spot on my part, I know) so that was completely lost to me.

All my kids, no?

Bingo.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

"I don't really understand where this show is going."

I think the answer to this is "J.J. Abrams really misses The X-Files, so he's going to make it himself."

All is well that ends in pizza.

Anybody watch the season premiere of "Smallville"?

I think they might want to rename it "Metropolis."

Smallville:

It also seems the new producers are trying to wrench it back into canon, too.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My polite word for Fringe this week is "addled." You can throw in an "unlikely" too.

what the hell mumbo jumbo was that about capturing the image of the bridge from the murder victim? I was willing to buy a lot of the rest (the Pacey love, she is strong), but I my hands were too leaden to do the requisite waving.

Eureka-science looked perfectly sensible in comparison.

Did they get if off of the eye? I haven't seen the episode yet (not sure if I will; I have both the pilot and this DVRd, but the word hasn't encouraged me).
