I'm beginning to suspect Lexie is there to make us not pray for Zane's demise.

I am enjoying trying to figure out the overarching mystery that Thorne is involved in. And just seeing Frances Fisher on my screen every week is awesome. Though more of her would be great. Love seeing her with Jack, how they're constantly sizing each other up. Definitely get the impression that neither has quite made up his/her mind about the other yet, which is kind of cool.

So very agreed.

This. So much this. I hope they run with it. It could be an interesting replacement for the Jack/Nathan dynamic (sob!).

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

All of the guys falling over her makes me think that the town of Eureka is seriously short of women.

It's possible that I'm completely misremembering, but I thought that way back at the beginning when Jack stumbled into Eureka a big deal was made out of the idea that the town was a Big Fat Secret, its location was secret, everything that happened there had to be secret, and that everyone who stayed there had to contribute through a scientific or service-oriented perspective. I suppose Jack told Lexxie where to find them, but why is she being allowed to move in, and why is she being give free reign to run around the town and in and out of all the facilities?

All is well that ends in pizza.

Maybe there's an unspoken vetting process?

"Rule number one of the Eureka vetting process is no one mentions the Eureka vetting process."

She's just making me pray that whichever one of them gets zapped first is standing close enough to the other to take him or her out with the resultant explosion/shrapnel/swarm of deadly nannites/cloud of radioactive patchouli.

exactly. i seem to remember there being a big deal about whether Jack could even work there.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I actually think Zane and Zoe have some chemistry

I'm not the only one! I went to a Peter/Claire place when I saw them together. Is it because they're higher up on the billing than the other two, and so they were given the meat of the scenes, and together, or is there some ulterior jailbait --I mean Big Brother-- set up going on? Not only does Zane (and Lexxi) eat up Jo's screentime, but Zane moves in on Jo's sibling relationship with Zoe?

I'm actually okay with that. So long as he never has another scene with Jo, and so long as Jo isn't given much screentime, they can't make her do too many stoopid things. Although as a deputy, her decided lack of presence during all these incidents IS stupid.

OTOH, he was being considered for a very important position in the community.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm prepared for some hand-waving that the ultra-secret status of the town was revoked some time after Jack arrived.
