Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I actually think Zane and Zoe have some chemistry
I'm not the only one! I went to a Peter/Claire place when I saw them together. Is it because they're higher up on the billing than the other two, and so they were given the meat of the scenes, and together, or is there some ulterior jailbait --I mean Big Brother-- set up going on? Not only does Zane (and Lexxi) eat up Jo's screentime, but Zane moves in on Jo's sibling relationship with Zoe?
I'm actually okay with that. So long as he never has another scene with Jo, and so long as Jo isn't given much screentime, they can't make her do too many stoopid things. Although as a deputy, her decided lack of presence during all these incidents IS stupid.
i seem to remember there being a big deal about whether Jack could even work there.
OTOH, he was being considered for a very important position in the community.
I'm prepared for some hand-waving that the ultra-secret status of the town was revoked some time after Jack arrived.
I am enjoying trying to figure out the overarching mystery that Thorne is involved in.
My most recent theory is that it has something to do with the death of her husband.
My most recent theory is that it has something to do with the death of her husband.
I think that makes a lot of sense. One thing I really like about Thorne is that while she's being set up as an antagonist, she's not pinging me as a 'bad guy.' I'm actually interested in what she's trying to do/find out. I was pleasantly surprised that she was as forthcoming as she was with information about the underground installation.

Me too - she's not evil, just agenda-driven. She's pinging me a bit like S4 Scorpius in that sense, actually.

Just as long as we never have to see her vomit, I'm OK with that.
So we just started watching S3 of BSG. Let me say that I'm basically spoiled for the big end-of-season revelations but my DH is not.
DH just decided that Tigh is a cylon, as of episode 3.
His basic argument is that there is no redeeming human characteristic about Tigh.
But by that logic, everybody on this damn show is a cylon.
Signed, no longer wanting the humans to survive.
I might possibly be warming a little to Carter/Allison, but, damn, I miss Stark.
Come to the dark side. We have cookies. Seriously, I think what they have to do, if they want Jack and Allison to catch on is to write Allison as being interested, but in a way that Jack doesn't catch on (which will be tough write and direct without screwing the Carter character, because he's not the oblivious type).
I actually think Zane and Zoe have some chemistry, also, fun alliteration. Zoe's bickerson friend/boyfriend seemed like some kind of set up... I wonder if BF and BFF are going to break her heart.
They just wowed me. I wasn't expecting it, but the two of them have
it.
How old is Zane supposed to be? Will this be super gross -- because I'm way more intrigued by Zane/Zoe than Zane/Jo.
Also, surely any child raised in Eureka is told "Don't push any strange buttons" more often than "Look both ways before crossing the street."
I don't know. Each week's tragedy is caused by someone who ought to know better doing something wreckless.

Since Jack is basically waiting for Allison to throw him a crumb at this point, I can't see that scenario working without a lobotomy involved. I mean, the entire point of his character is "the guy who notices stuff other people miss."
[eta: The best case scenario for me would be to either drop Jack/Allison altogether, or treat it like Willow/Xander so all we ever get is pining and UST, but no relationship that then has to be broken up for the sake of moving the plot forward.]
