Where'd they get CAT scan from?... I mean, did they test it on cats? Or does the machine sort of look like a cat?

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

*sits with Sail*

Sure, very sometimes the shows are rubbish, and I'll complain forever about making this last ep his swan song instead of making just a good finale for the season, but I never once thought he was catering to sponsors and action figures or something with shallow mass-market potential.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I think there is a lot of good storytelling in Dr. Who. There episode i don't rewatch. Either too many of my buttons ( weeping angles just creeps me way to badly lost in another time/ mobile intimate objects/messages from the past from someone you know now ...eeeehh), or the basic story only interests me in where it took the arc.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I wish I could read Jacob's review as a single tract. I see no way to "print" it. I don't like reading three paragraphs, wait to load, three paragraphs, wait to load, for 21 pages.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Wow, this episode broke me, even being spoiled like a bottle of milk left in a sauna for a week.

However, on the most mundane level, I swear someone or ones said that Jack gave Sarah Jane a roll in the hay. Was that cut by Skiffy, and, if so, where can I sign up to lodge an agism protest. Because the idea makes me awfully happy.

On a less mundane note, I think the Doctor might have wiped everything from Donna more because he wanted to leave her NOT being a part of any army. IOW, she won't be throwing herself into the next world threatening crisis (he hopes - I suspect she would).

Daniel, do what I do in these cases--open up a new Word doc, copy and paste each page of Jacob's post into it without reading, and then print the whole thing. I do it all the time, and it makes long multi-page docs a breeze to read.

IOW, she won't be throwing herself into the next world threatening crisis (he hopes - I suspect she would).

Remember how she went running to see what was up in her standalone ep, when she saw the dead Doctor being taken away? All her friends were yelling at her to forget it, and she had to see. I know she'll get herself tied up in solving some major Earth crisis eventually, even without memories of her time with the Doctor.

I do that all the time, but 21 pages is quite the copy-paste-athon.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

However, on the most mundane level, I swear someone or ones said that Jack gave Sarah Jane a roll in the hay.

Erm, that was my happy little fantasy, based on his enthusiastic greeting, and the fact that it would be so, so right. But it was not in fact canon.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

I just finished 4x13 and being spoiled may have made it lose some of its punch for me. I would have liked a little bit more time with Rose and her human Doctor.

I did like Donna pushing her way through to hug Jack.

Donna's "No, no, no" was devastating though. As was her Gramps' goodbye to the Doctor. I did get a few BBC clips of a preview though at the end, so that was cool.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I don't like reading three paragraphs, wait to load, three paragraphs, wait to load, for 21 pages.

This is why I stopped reading TWOP. I don't care how snarky or insightful the writing is because the formatting makes me want to break things.
