Whatever became of the rumor that the show was hiring scabs?
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
We should do some Star Trek: TOS W-n-Ps now that CBS is making them available online. How fun would that be?? Also, I'm noticing a lot of the stuff that must have been chopped out for syndication. Awesome.
How long is an average one-hour show these days? Forty or forty-five minutes? These eps are right around 50 minutes.
44 minutes, I think.
Yeah, that six minutes makes a difference. I mean, I knew this, but it's just hitting home watching this ep, being so used to syndicated versions.
I never heard anything more of the scab rumors and they did run out of episodes. . . so just a rumor I suppose.
BSG season 4 promos:
Tory is looking good, so is Anders, Baltar and Six, Apollo - or should we just call him Lee?, Sharon, guys from the C-I-C, Starbuck, Lee and Starbuck. . . , Roslin and Starbuck, Athena and Helo - there are others but some are more casting spoilery than others.
Damn, the BSG cast is hot. Sometimes I forget that.
I would love to watch TOS more intently. I had taken so much for granted before, for good or ill.
Helo is looking a little rough.
5 Reasons Scifi Does Better In Movies Than In TV
I dunno about #3 - I think complex plot tangles are a big reason for the popularity (such that it is) of TV Scifi. Or does this turn off other people (the ones that aren't watching)?
Also,
Sarah Connor Chronicles had record-high viewership of 18.3 million for its first episode, but has since dropped to around 8 million.
Uh-oh. It also says SCC is "on the brink of cancellation."
