I would love to watch TOS more intently. I had taken so much for granted before, for good or ill.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

5 Reasons Scifi Does Better In Movies Than In TV
I dunno about #3 - I think complex plot tangles are a big reason for the popularity (such that it is) of TV Scifi. Or does this turn off other people (the ones that aren't watching)?
Also,
Sarah Connor Chronicles had record-high viewership of 18.3 million for its first episode, but has since dropped to around 8 million.
Uh-oh. It also says SCC is "on the brink of cancellation."
It only got 18.3 million because of a huge football lead-in. The drop-off was expected, and it's been holding very steady at 8 million, consistently building on its lead-in. Saying it's "on the brink of cancellation" is alarmist hoo-hah, although it's true that its fate is somewhat uncertain. One set of rumors claims Fox is disappointed in the ratings compared to the high budget of the series, and another says that they're pleased with how well it does in the demos.
That is, I'm pretty certain, just speculation.
It hasn't gone back into production after the strike, which is a sign FOX are hedging their bets and seeing how the final episodes perform. As long as it keeps those 8 million they'd be bonkers not to put it back into production.
That said, they're keeping Prison Break, it looks like, which is long in the tooth and a sinking ship ratings wise. So I'm not sure what the logic is. I'd bin off Prison Break and keep SCC.
That said, they're keeping Prison Break
Are they really? I can't stop watching that damn show! That and Smallville just need to end for my sake.
Smallville is still on the air? Seriously?
And it only took them six seasons to give Lana any sort of character development!
We're now in season seven. I think contracts are expiring, though, so I don't know what the future is. It would kind of suck if they had to wrap it all up in a shortened season. I mean, it took them five seasons to discover continuity.
Where are they life-wise in S-ville? Jobs and such? College?
