A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Some more thoughts on DW 4.12: I was with Juliebird on
Prof. River; she definitely knew THIS Doctor (she talked about his face being so young, and I definitely read it as being THAT face. I don't see how she would have recognised him so quickly had he been another incarnation).
But wasn't it interesting that
the servant in the Shadow Proclamation told Donna, "there's something on your back"...? What if this whole universe is another created one? It would fit in with Rose coming back too
.
I think it's been pushed a bit too much that
Donna is going to die, so they probably won't do that. (Though it would be interesting to know whether or not Catherine Tate is staying; I haven't heard anything about her). I more expect it to be one of the others (Martha or Rose, 'cos Sarah Jane and Jack have their own shows). Or it's Donna's Grandad, who has secretly been working for the Doctor for years and years.
Anyway, I have some more information, but I think I'd better post it in Spoilers.
Also: next week's episode will be 65 minutes long.
Is 4.12 the season finale?
No, there's one more ep in the UK next week.
There's a 4.13 still to come. And then a long, long, sad hiatus.
Jon, yes,
I had forgotten about her. She's definitely a dangling thread.
I don't like
Donna-the-Time-Lord. I have no particular other specialness to proffer, but I don't like that one. The "something on your back" line was ear-catching, and there's definitely something with alternate realities gong on (The Doctor himself said so before we got all Bad Wolf), but the pieces aren't clicking for me.
Was that part two of the library one ("Forest of the Dead")? If so, that was 4.09.
Of course it's impossible to search the thread for '4.09' so oh well. Stupid not airing at the same time as the UK.
An alternate season 4 for DW: [link] I've only read four chapters so far, but I think it's brilliant. Spoilers only through the end of season 3.
ooh thanks Tiggy! I try to mark when discussion starts but I think I missed that one.
I wonder if we could make use of the Nilly area to make links to the beginnings of the discussions of British airings of Who and TW.
