HOLY FUCKING SHIT HOLY FUCKING SHIT HOLY FUCKING SHIT.... I spent the second half of the episode standing like right in front of the TV... oh my frickin god.....that was intense... I need a beer. Man I hope we aren't losing Tennant, holy shit.
I did notice the heartbeat thing.... ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!! I want a TARDIS so I can go to next week.

Okay, I've just spoiled the ever loving CRAP out of myself. And I'm thinking that if, as I understand it, Tennant is gone, then maybe THIS is why RTD has been talking all this crap about there being a hiatus of the show while Tennant plays Hamlet - maybe it was just so that people wouldn't realise that he was leaving? Because it would be pretty much the huge honking spoiler, wouldn't it, knowing that he was unavailable to film? So hopefully there IS no weird one-year hiatus at all, and it was all schmuck-bait?
I'm not convinced, Fay, for the reason I alluded to above.
DW 4.12 One of the things that really, really got to me was the way both Sarah Jane and Jack reacted to the audio feed from the Daleks. Lis Sladen in particular just sold that horrible mix of fear and hopelessness.
Tom, I think you're totally right. It's very much something that RTD would do. After so long, I never expected it to pay off, but one of the things the camera focused on when all the shaking was going on was the jar. Kind of like the gun in the first act better show up in the third.
One thing I don't quite understand, what with all the internal HOLY SHIT and OMG going on while I was watching: why weren't the Daleks just exterminating all the humans? I think I missed something in there, but I'm not sure what.

SailAweigh, I think they were looking for specific types of humans for some nefarious purpose. I assume we'll find out in the second half. It could be as simple as the last few appearances where they have converted human hosts or merged with humans.
