Yes, there is. There's a hurry, Xander. I'm dying...I may have as few as fifty years left.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

thanks, Dana! *facepalm*

Anna, I noticed that heartbeat, right before she gets consoled on her future loss, gah!

I was a little disappointed in the Shadow Proclamation. I was expecting more wisdom and mystery and a plethora of different aliens. If I was going to be given a reality check on the inaneness and bloodthirst of such an institue, I sort of wish that the Doctor had the same reaction that I did prior to his "Yeah, sure, let me get you a key...PSYCH!!!"

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Juliebird, I, too was a little disappointed that something as cool-sounding as "the Shadow Proclamation" turned out to be little more than "L&O: Space Time Continuum".

I think more than the bland set design I was put off by the "neener neener, you thought you were so all-knowing but you're really dumb and we know more than you, neener neener, even if we believed you were real."

I just thought that the Shadow Proclamation to be more sophisticated and... smarter... than that.

Now, if they'd set up our introduction to them with a wry undercutting of those expectations, then I'd be alright with it.

DW 4.12:

HMOG!!! I did not expect that!! I don't wanna wait a week! And I want to know what's up with the heartbeat, too! I thought I was just reading into the background sounds until others mentioned it. Daleks! Regeneration! It's too much!

::pant, pant::

Okay, I'll quit abusing the exclamation marks.

Want more, now!!

I lied, sue me.

I wonder if the fact they are out of phase with everything will have an impact, or that we will have a temporary Doctor.

Maybe Joanna Lumley.

Still, I would be greatly surprised should Tennant leave now.

OTOH? The body of Harriet Jones is available.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I fucking HATE the Daleks. And Davros has been creeping me out for 20 damn years. Plus I really think a Jack/Sarah Jane interlude is my new happy place.

Wouldn't it be something if they got Christopher Eccleson for a one-off?

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Okay, I've just spoiled the ever loving CRAP out of myself. And I'm thinking that if, as I understand it, Tennant is gone, then maybe THIS is why RTD has been talking all this crap about there being a hiatus of the show while Tennant plays Hamlet - maybe it was just so that people wouldn't realise that he was leaving? Because it would be pretty much the huge honking spoiler, wouldn't it, knowing that he was unavailable to film? So hopefully there IS no weird one-year hiatus at all, and it was all schmuck-bait?
