Lorne: Once the word spreads you beat up an innocent old man, well, the truly terrible will think twice before going toe-to-toe with our Avenging Angel. Spike: Yes. The geriatric community will be soiling their nappies when they hear you're on the case. Bravo.

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

I think it was more about biology than hair -- so they could have a child together. Which was probably more crucial in the original plan than it ended up being on the show, but so it goes. I'm almost positive that up until shooting she was going to be a male character and change sexes as well.

...I need to borrow the scriptbooks from my brother.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Strega, I think you're right. From what I've read Delenn was supposed to start out as male. They tried to do something with the voice in the pilot that didn't work so well, so when the series started the character was female.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Was the plan to have her start male, then change gender to be with Sheriden?

Strega - Jun 19, 2008 2:07:39 pm PDT #3068 of 30001

Well, the original plan was that it would be Sinclair, but yes.

So the romantic scenes could have been much worse.

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

Did anyone else notice that SciFi is now burning off Charlie Jade at 3 am on Monday mornings?

I watched the first two episodes and was going to hang around to see if the show gets better. Does it?

I had heard that after episode 8, when the show changed showrunners or somesuch, that if got better. I don't know if I can take the slow agony that was the first two eps for another six.

I thought it was also airing Friday nights at 8pm, did they move it?

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Charlie Jade is a very smart show with a lot of plot and fabulous production design and some dodgy gender dynamics and not much in the acting department.

The lead, in particular, is nowhere near strong enough to carry what they've given him.

Still, it's gorgeously shot, and it's complicated and twisty and intelligent.

Consuela, did you forget to mention that it is also slooooow, or does it pick up even a fraction of momentum (soonish)?

Aww, crap!

Invisible Green - Jun 19, 2008 6:19:58 pm PDT #3074 of 30001

Actually, I think that's Tuesday mornings at 3 AM. But the Sci-Fi channel's website is confusing because it lists Tuesday morning programming as Monday night.
