I think my favorite line was "That's a very specific thing to hate." After Wendy delivered his entire line verbatim. That actress is pretty adept at spitting out a mouthful comprehensibly.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
The episode you missed did air, and you can find a good recap here.
Thanks! That ended up going in a direction I wouldn't have expected.
I enjoyed Middleman. I agree with P-C that it's a good summer show.
I liked Middleman. It reminded me a little bit of Reaper and a little bit of Eureka.
BSG: from EW "12 Things We Learned This Year."
Started watching Jeremiah, about halfway through the pilot. So far it's a combination of good, okay and really?
I enjoy Luke Perry, MJW is a bit annoying (or bland, one of those. Maybe both. Annoyingly bland. Blandly annoying.) Kinda digging some of the takes on the whole Beyond the Thunderdome, and yet a lot of the characters have way too much information and education and finer concepts for a pre-pubescent kid to have retained, let alone held onto.
But is it an overall worthwhile show? Does it get less talky after the pilot? Because monologue after monologue after monologue is not the smoothest way to establish a world. And not that fun to watch.
Also, very important, does it have resolution?
eta: Crap, wrong show.
Jeremiah, right, yes. I got through the first season of that, and haven't gotten around to the second. I enjoyed it, but I don't know that I can say that it's good, per se.
Still can't speak to resolution.
Julie,
I dropped out of the show around the 4th or 5th episode. Something happened that I found absolutely absurd and I never went back.
I hope you keep watching because I'd love to know if you have the same reaction. I have no comment on resolution.
I just really wish they'd kept the cute blond guy Simon who tried recruiting Jeremiah instead of Malcolm Jamal Warner . Because even up to the end of the pilot he annoyed the crap out of me (but blandly so).
That's what MJW is: a White Mulberry fruit. Described as boringly sweet. I never knew sweet could be boring before eating a white mulberry.
I'll give the show another one or two eps, unless I get some rave reviews telling me it gets better. I was really hoping it would be a bit bleaker and more hard, but it's a bit too touchy-feely, do the right thing, honor and promisecakes. On the plus side I can make an excellent drinking game out of "Spot the BSG actor".
I liked MJW in Jeremiah because he gives Jeremiah shit.
But the show is written by Straczinsky, which means the dialog is Really Really Bad. Even the "good" episodes are unbearably clunky.
I got about ten episodes in and have no incentive to keep going, and I'm a big apocalypse fan.
OTOH, it's a great source for Canadian Actor Bingo.
