Don't worry, I'm not gonna start any sword fights. I'm over that phase.

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I wanted to like The Middle Man more than I did. I was surprised that a show on the ABC Family Channel would call the hentai monster a "hentai monster".

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

I watched the first ten minutes or so and i taped the rest, but i don't know that i'll ever watch it.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I know everything must have come out OK, but could someone fill me in on what happened in the second half of the Sarah Jane Adventures episode with the alien laser tag. For some reason, I got the first half of the season finale twice (when I didn't think they re-aired SJA at all) and that episode was just nowhere to be found.

Haven't watched any of the episodes since the first half of that (I only noticed that I had one episode twice because I went hunting on my DVR episodes). Did anyone else have this problem? Was it a Sci-Fi glitch?

The first half of the SJA finale was the only one Sci-Fi reran, right before showing the second half. The episode you missed did air, and you can find a good recap here.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I enjoyed The Middleman. It was pretty amusing throughout, even though some of the jokes fell flat. And it doesn't take itself very seriously, which is fun.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I thought it took itself--well, it was in love with its oh-so-easy cleverness. Which didn't get traction with me.

Yeah, it was. But I'll take it for a summer show.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Okay, anyone else want to pick Jane up and hug her and squeeze her and call her George? Or, you know, just give her a basket of cupcakes and a shy grin? I do love her writing.

(Although I'm not going to go read the article, because I'm spoiled enough for BSG)

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

Middleman worked for me. Lots of nods to the audience being in on the joke. I'll tune in next week.

I think my favorite line was "That's a very specific thing to hate." After Wendy delivered his entire line verbatim. That actress is pretty adept at spitting out a mouthful comprehensibly.
