'The Message'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Hey, the 100 didn't kill off anyone I wanted to live! Even Brian & Miller & Harper survived. And Octavia got her crowning moment of rage: she didn't allow Pike saving her life to distract her from her goal of gutting him like a pig.

I do wonder if the people who Lexa killed in the City of Life died in their actual bodies, or what.

And now what happens? They have a limited amount of time to figure out how to stop a dozen nuclear reactors from melting down completely, if they even know where they are. I don't see an easy solve there, nor an easy way to get Grounders to help. Although I suspect that technically Clarke is the new Commander, at least until they find a nightblood willing to take the flame.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Anyone else watch the premiere of Preacher last night? I found myself surprisingly liking it. Dominic Cooper made for a much more sympathetic and likeable Jesse Custer than Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon ever did. The way it was filmed reminded me a lot of the movie Constantine.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

It really was satisfying to see a montage of Vandal Savage getting his ass kicked three times simultaneously.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

For The 100, I was kind of clinging to my seat to see what would happen. And one thing I noticed was that the mover and shakers are mostly young (I suppose beause of th CW's desired demographic) but also women ... kind of a change.

For LOT, I hard (not reliably, but maybe ...) that they're rebooting Prison Break with, if I remember correctly, they said "the original cast" ... so maybe Wentworth Miller will be off doing something else.

But this would also require the exit of Mick Rory? I'm not caught up on LoT, but I feel like y'all would've mentioned something if he died (again) or whatever.

Yeah, the internet says they're both committed to it (despite Miller's character being technically dead and all). My guess is that since it's a limited series thing, like The X-Files was, they'll work it into the schedule.

Edit: I meant technically dead on Prison Break, but I guess that applies to both shows.

I haven't kept up on LOT; I made the effort for The 100 - they had different shit hitting the fan every week (and it was on late enough I was usually home and functional by the time it came on).

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Flash:

Well, that ending was unexpected.

Guess that's going to give them a way to keep Tom Cavanaugh around.

I will say, JWS as the real Jay was a fitting image, even if his top seemed a little puffy.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

JWS was awesome at the end playing it for all it was worth. It will be interesting to see what has changed next season. Other than the last ten minutes though, I thought the whole episode was crap. Of course it was impossible to top last season's finale, but I was expecting something more exciting than a speedster drag race.
