I'll just jump in my time machine, go back to the twelfth century, and ask the vampires to postpone their ancient prophesy for a few days while you take in dinner and a show.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Zack Stentz

I looked him up on IMDb, and wow, he wrote for both TSCC and Fringe, two of my favourite shows. The Fringe episodes he wrote were what I'd consider some of the best episodes of the series (Momentum Deferred -- the S2 opener; Northwest Passage, the gorgeous elegiac ep with Peter investigating things with Martha Plimpton's sheriff; and Jacksonville, which might be my fave episode of that entire series.)

If he stays on to write more for The Flash, I won't complain.

So, when Cisco joked about iZombie, he meant the actual actor from iZombie!! (Everybody knew that, I'm sure. I haven't been paying attention.)

Plus, Jay Mewes, too. The stunt casting is stunty! Kevin Smith will never abandon his boy. Sniff.

I didn't actually realize that -- cool!

The Zombie, playing a zombie. Muy Meta.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

For all the good stuff in the episode, there was one thing that bugged the crap out of me. Why were they using flashlights (more meta) in the morgue. Why not just turn on the lights. It's not like there wasn't any power. There was plenty of tasteful accent lighting, not to mention at least one working computer.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

As soon as he said he was going to be around all the time I thought "you're a dead man walking."

DXM is me.

Supergirl is moving from CBS to the CW, which probably means huge budget cuts.

But it could mean more crossovers, which would be fun.

I have problems with the nuclear stuff on Arrow. First, as soon as Felicity said that Rubicon was sending random launch codes, I said "Do you want to play a game?" in my best machine voice. The problem is that the various governments had almost a full day to take the missiles physically off-line (dump the fuel, cut the control umbilicals, toss enough TNT down the silo to disable the rocket, etc.) such that cyber-countermeasures might not have been needed at all.

Also, why didn't Argus get the freakin' device from Palmer Industries. Just show up with a warrant (I'm sure their could have been a presidential order or something) and guns, and just take it in the interest of national security. Also, send the National Guard to Star City to get Darhk.

That all said, there was a lot of good in the episode, between Mama Smoak and Thea's adventure.

Or Curtis Holt. That was his lab, wasn't it? (Or if not his, he it have been plausible that he was in there.)

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Supergirls move could mean no Calista Flockhart if they no longer film in LA.
