Spike: I'm not a monster. Xander: Yes! You are a monster. Vampires are monsters! They make monster movies about them! Spike: Well, yeah. Got me there.

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I love the series.

Kevin Smith. Huh.

Apparently Kevin Smith saw Guardians of the Galaxy.

Damn if that wasn't the best episode of the season. And damn if Kevin Smith isn't wasting his time making really shitty movies.

Really? I was underwhelmed. (Though I agree with you about his movies.)

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Kevin Smith is a HUGE The Flash fanboy. I listened to his Fatman in Batman podcast after he mainlined S1 and he was pretty ga-ga over it. They even had Andrew Kreisberg over for an hour+ interview about his career (which I found quite interesting to listen to).

I thought this episode had some nice affecting bits. The Speed Force people reminded me of the Prophets from Deep Space Nine more than anything. Well, OK, they were way nicer than the Prophets, who were a bunch of cryptic assholes.

Iris was excellent in this throughout. I thought this might have been the best writing Iris has gotten since the beginning of the show, honestly (which sadly isn't saying much). I loved those little sarcastic banters between Iris and Cisco (seriously, Cisco = made of magic) and the scene with Joe, Wally and Iris at Allen home made me laugh and laugh. I usually don't have much time for Barry/Iris (mostly because the romance if often so badly written), but I even bought those moments between the two at the end.

YES. I'm not entirely sure what a "cinnamon roll" is in fannish parlance (wow, was that a stodgy old coot statement or what? you kids, with your fandoms and your lingo and onions on your belts!), but I think he might be one?

I still think Barry and Iris have zero chemistry, but I don't actively dislike Iris anymore, so that's a plus.

Totally unspoiled prediction: Caitlin is gonna bite a big one at the end of the season. They haven't done much with her all season other than being kidnapped by Zoom, and if Henry is gonna stick around to provide medical support, she may turn out to be redundant. With Wally, Jesse and Wells, STAR LAB is getting kinda crowded. And these folks do love their Big Death.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

See, I think it's gonna be Henry. As soon as he said he was going to be around all the time I thought "you're a dead man walking."

Also, not just Kevin Smith, but Zack Stentz wrote it, which brought me back to the old Andromeda thread at WX (he used to drop by), and that made me think of ita.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

If Caitlin dies, I'd be disappointed, but not shocked.

They can't kill of both Barry's parents, can they? That just seems unnecessary, especially right after he finally finds peace with his mother's death.
