I kept waiting for some kind of double cross with the whole giving Zoom Barry's speed force. I was hoping it was going to be a trick.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Dude, you just created your own breach, albeit not to a different different Earth.
I thought it was to a different Earth. None of the Supergirl people had heard of the Flash or Green Arrow or Black Canary.
So who is the man in the mask? Another time remnant?
I don't think I missed any episodes, but I don't remember what a time remnant is. Not a time wraith, right?

Me, too.

Yes. Supergirl's Earth is Earth 3 (or whatever). But the point is Barry just traveled to a different Earth on his own. His insistence that Cisco is the only one who could get him to Earth 2 seemed really strange.

A time remnant is something cut adrift from a timeline that no longer exists (or at least that's the best I can wrap my head around it) like Thawne when he appeared earlier this season.
As for why Zoom has a time remnant, or how he convinced the remnant to let him kill him (or why he then said that it complicated things while alone in his lair with Iron Mask when he supposedly did it on purpose) I can only assume the writers are doing a bunch of crack.
I thought it was to a different Earth.
You are correct. I was trying to say that, but changed the way I was expressing it midsentence and never fixed the mistake (until now).
I just watched the Flash and yeah, huh?
I don;t watch Supergirl, so the Earth jumping thing didn't hit me, but I had no idea what they were going on about the time remnant Jay crap.
Wow, I love The Flash, but this show's mumbo is getting seriously jumbo'd. It's hard enough to keep a straight face when they portentously talk about SPEED FORCE, but now there's time remnants and wraiths and whatnots.
So I am confused...who the hell is Jay Garrick? I mean, original Jay Garrick? Did he ever exist on Earth 2, or was it just a sort of costume that Hunter Zolomon put on? Obviously I don't remember enough of the details from the beginning of the season.
Yeah, because there was a flashback to him being Earth-2's Flash. So did he become the Flash AND Zoom? So confused.
After some research (querying "Orphan") it appears we do indeed discuss Orphan Black in Box Set.
Tatiana Maslany continues to be amazeballs.
Gosh, I didn't even notice the Apple product placement...
So did he become the Flash AND Zoom? So confused.
Yes. Zoom explained that he created the Flash persona to give people hope that he could then rip away as Zoom. Didn't explain why the remnant had no speed powers when on Earth I, although maybe the remnant figured that if he was going to die anyway, he may as well give Zoom his speed, too.
Really too stupid for words.

Oh, right, I *do* remember that now. What a weird-ass mess.
