Mal: You tell me right now, little Kaylee, you really think you can do this? Kaylee: Sure. Yeah. I think so. 'Sides, if I mess up, not like you'll be able to yell at me.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Admittedly I only saw the final 20 minutes or so of last week's episode, but it didn't strike me as all that terrible even if there were some major plot holes. Was there something in the first half more traumatic than Melanie Griffith singing?

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I didn't bother tuning in when I realized that HJ wouldn't be a regular, and when I saw some scenes where they basically were lip-synching... badly.

eta you mean it wasn't cancelled right away?

Well, it hadn't been cancelled by the time the second episode started airing, though I think that was only on the third day following the premiere. Maybe the execs were travelling that weekend and only had the chance to call in the kill order afterwards?

Ok, was it just me, or was that scene where the Doctor woke from his reminiscence about Charlemagne the hottest David Tennant has ever looked?

Traumatic, no. It was just duller, flatter, and more predictable than just about anything I've ever watched. And it featured some of Eric Roberts' worst "acting." It was pretty much your typical haunted house story, without any chills. Melanie Griffith singing was at least amusing in the train wreck sort of way.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

So far it's very dark (visually), and it's not making me want to do the work to see it properly.

If your thermal camera can see graffitti on the walls, your house is very haunted and you should leave ASAP.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

BSG: No fraking way! That did NOT just happen!

It's the Planet of the Apes!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I liked the first half of Fear Itself this week, but the second half was predictable and lame. I'm also wondering if there is going to be a former Guiding Light star in it every week. Last week Rachel Miner and this week Cynthia Watros.

Art Crawl!!!

Man, I KNEW it couldn't be good when they made it to Earth!!!!

I kept looking at the clock and waiting for the next shoe to drop.

(Meanwhile, I LOVED DW this week - what a very fun episode.)

I'm still all tense from BSG.
