'The Message'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

BSG: No fraking way! That did NOT just happen!

It's the Planet of the Apes!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I liked the first half of Fear Itself this week, but the second half was predictable and lame. I'm also wondering if there is going to be a former Guiding Light star in it every week. Last week Rachel Miner and this week Cynthia Watros.

Art Crawl!!!

Man, I KNEW it couldn't be good when they made it to Earth!!!!

I kept looking at the clock and waiting for the next shoe to drop.

(Meanwhile, I LOVED DW this week - what a very fun episode.)

I'm still all tense from BSG.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I was biting my nails, waiting for the other (both?) shoe to drop, and OMG Earth has been decimated!!! (Now I am of course totally self-concious of the proper usage of that word since DW, and I still don't know if I'm using it right).

All the speculation of what they would find, and they're last hope of Earth has been worn away by time/war/catastrophe and emptied.

SO not expecting them to have gotten to Earth this soon, but in a way I'm relieved. Although this still leaves the final fifth hanging over our heads (and it seems pretty clear that the fifth was on the basestar, and not within the RTF, which narrows it down to Roslin, Baltar, and the unnamed pilots). As well as the new mystery of what the frak happened to Earth. Eeeeee!!! (Loved the completely disgusted look on D'Anna's face on Earth.)

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I kept on yelling at the tv "When are they? When are they?!?!!" as they were flying through the atmosphere.

I still love the jokey speculation I read a few years ago, that they would get to Earth in the final ep, and then George Bush would blow them out of the sky, shouting "Terrorists! Terrorists!".

Speaking of love, loved tonight's Doctor Who. What fun! In addition to all the '20s Christie-mystery aspects, the fact that the reverend bore a remarkable resemblance to a Doctor-Who-era Peter Davison gave me a big flashback to "Black Orchid," the last 1920s DW ep I remember.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I have to get up with the baby in the morning, so all I have to say is

Hell.

The.

Frak.

YEAH.

(DH and I were expecting the Earthlings to launch a nuclear strike on the fleet while they were in orbit. But finding it a wasteland is so much worse...poor Adama...)

(Oh, and I'm relieved that somebody remembered to let Caprica Six out of her cell. I was afraid the last scene of the series was going to be her still sitting there after everyone else is off populating Earth shouting "Hello! Hello?")

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

SO GOOD, RIGHT??? Poor Adama in his crying drunken stupor. Poor Tigh. I can't wait to rewatch it!
