Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

!!!

I jumped a foot from the couch when they killed off Waller. While the actress never quite pulled off the legendary ruthless badassery I kept hearing about re. the comic book version of Waller, this... seemed like a sadly ignoble ending to a significant character.

Oh. Do you think this will lead to Lyla being in charge of ARGUS?

All roads point to yes. If this happens, I would at least breathe a little easier because I always worry about Lyla getting killed off.

It was SO NICE to have a flashback that was relevant to the ongoing story for once. I had to groan at whassisface from the Island making an appearance at the final flashback though. I roll my eyes in advance at whatever cartwheeling they'd be doing to make the flashbacks relevant to the present plot, come season finale time.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I kind of LOVE that the name "Oracle" was already taken.

Yeah. Though it's interesting that she actually exists in the Arrowverse, since there's been no other indication of the Batfamily.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

since there's been no other indication of the Batfamily.

The show might not be allowed to mention the Batfamily (even though Huntress is actually a Batman character t /Comic Book Guy ), and namechecking Oracle is the closest they could get.

Oh, and was flashback!guy whose name I can't be bothered to remember basically saying that yeah, Lian Yu is indeed the island from LOST? (Well, that's what his description sounded like, anyway. It made me roll my eyes hard.)

Yeah, the island stuff continues to be silly.

I will say a better way to tie the two plots together would have been to just have the military guys on the island have the Shadowspire patch and let the audience make the connection rather that having Commander Creepystare randomly show up in the Afghanistan flashback.

Though I imagine this connection wasn't thought up at the beginning of the season and was likely just thrown out there in the writer's room as a "Wouldn't it be cool if?"

Thanks. I know we've been told the guy's name several times but I can never remember it.

According to Gideon, they were in St. Roch, the New Orleans neighborhood, not Quebec.

I'd also love to know where their ship is supposedly parked near St. Roch in New Orleans.

Lolllllll, I don't even understand why they tried to shoehorn that into New Orleans. Is it because of Hawkgirl and the professor being African American? Because I'm pretty sure they were the only black people in this particular version of New Orleans. Also, why St. Roch? It's a fairly nondescript neighborhood. With zero grassy meadows or its own university, may I add.

I mean, when people appropriate and misunderstand New Orleans, there's like, a point. Nothing happened in this episode that couldn't be set in Minnesota or Tennessee or Vancouver. Unless they specifically wanted to give me an aneurysm?

I love Captain Cold and Sara hanging out. I was not a fan of the roofie, but was happy that it was called out a lot. Even by actual awful criminals. It's nice to see Arthur Darvill again.

Arrow - Amanda Waller! Yikes.

Flash - holy shit, I continue to love Harry so much.

Yes, it's an amazing character when played by someone with gravitas. CCH Pounder voiced her in the Batman series, and I'm looking forward to Viola Davis in Suicide Squad.

I was annoyed by this portrayal because she was 1) too young and 2) too pretty. Amanda Waller is supposed to be a woman in a position that you know that she only achieved by being meticulous and ruthless. This actress did not, could not do that.
