'The Killer In Me'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Compassionately intolerant

Wow, duh. Given the premise of my comment, my fingers really let me down on that one. You can't even call that a typo. Mercy. The brane, it is wired divernly.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I went back and rewatched Silence in the Library and Forest of the Dead, because I was pretty sure that in SitL she said the last time she'd seen the Doctor was a night spent at the singing towers of Darillium, which my rewatch confirmed. She also said it was the only time she saw the Doctor cry. I got the impression in the Christmas special, that she thought once her diary was full, it meant the Doctor would be dead; instead, it was her. But then, in SitL she says to one of the other expedition members that she always thought the Doctor would be the death of her, so I'm of two minds of that.

She did have that line about the diary being given to her by someone who would know exactly how long it would need to be. I took that as awareness that her own time was almost up, not the Doctor's.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

It's taken me 2.5 hours to watch the first Black Mirror. What a very odd show. There's no cause and effect there, just my observations at this point.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

The other episodes aren't necessarily less odd, but they are certainly easier to watch.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

We watched Captain America tonight, and it's a testament to Neal McDonough's acting that I could only see Damien Darhk, not Dum Dum Dugan. (Or, as I said to Tim, "Great, now Dum Dum Dugan creeps me out.")

I somehow just found out about the 2013 FedCon, where John Barrowman apparently picked Ben Browder as the target for a game of "shock the straight Southern boy." It did not turn out as planned. [link] [link]

The moral of this story is don't try to publicly embarrass the guy who's been molested by a Muppet in bondage gear on national television. [link]

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

The Librarians: a lot to like in this one, too. I did glimpse a blue box and a Delorean (with appropriate musical references) unser some of those sheets, yes?

Yes, loved that!

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Supergirl

Kind of annoyed they weaseled out of Cat knowing Kara's secret, though I had a feeling they were going to do what they did as soon as J'onn was captured and Kara continued to pretend she wasn't Supergirl with Cat.

How have that many Kryptonians (there were at least a dozen in that final scene) not just flat-out taken over the Earth by now?
