Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

It could be like Superman's (new) solar flare power.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

The Flash: That. Was. Awesome.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I enjoyed the episode, but years of watching DC Animated shows left me put off by The Flash's version of Vandal Savage. He's a lot more suave and mostly-unflappable in those. This guy seemed a little too scenery-chewing in comparison.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I may have screeched when Patty shot Wells. Didn't expect that at all.

But hey, this is why you TELL your work partner (Joe)/romantic partner (Barry) the important stuff! Daaaaang.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Especially since Cisco is undoubtedly going to call the Flash "Barry" in front of her at some point.

While Cisco's "Barry" was dumb, I was shocked Team Arrow brought both Kendra and then Carter into the Arrow Cave and let them see them all with their masks off.

ETA: I agree that the whole Patty shooting Wells thing is all Joe's fault for not telling her what's going on.

Yeah, I was a little surprised by that too. Team Arrow helping Kendra, yeah, but letting her see them unmasked? I mean, she's not even Cisco's girlfriend.

Side note for Supergirl - you do not have to breathe. Stop letting villains choke you. It's psychosomatic.

I think current DCU Kryptonians still have to breathe, though obviously Superman was able to hold his breath in hard vacuum for several minutes without any difficulty. I suppose they could still be choked out by having the blood flow through their carotid arteries cut off, but that should be easier said than done to someone who can take an anti-tank missile in the face without significant injury.

Yeah, the last time I recall Superman casually flying through space without a life support system of some kind was on Lois and Clark (where he was also speaking into a headset communicator, nearly promoting my own head to explode).
