We killed a homeless man on this bench. Me and Dru. Those were good times. You know, he begged for mercy, and you know, that only made her bite harder.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

It really was.

I also loved that wonderful, lingering shot of the planet, even though I had a feeling that things weren't going to go well down there. Boy howdy!

Dark Matter: I didn't see why people were comparing it to Firefly early on, but I kinda get it now. The finale was basically the Community Calligraphy episode, though. Non-miraculously.

I'm interested to see where it goes in season 2. These characters have all grown on me. Although I was hoping for more of a payoff from the android's invisible friend (have I mentioned how much I like that they just call the android "Android"? It is a lot)

Defiance: my basic frustration with this show is that the aliens are mostly (all? Some of the ones we don't see much of might not be) just caricatures of humans. Which is probably deliberate, but not at all appealing to me.

They really fucked up with the whole Omec storyline. It's too bad, that could have been interesting.

I am still interested in the whole people who have done terrible things can still be good people theme they have going on, I guess. Although said people often weren't in control of choosing to do the terrible things which reduces the power of the concept considerably.

Definitely not the show I hoped it would be when it started. Oh well.

Unrelatedly - I do not know anything about The Expanse. Should I do something about that? I can't tell from the ads if it's up my alley or not.

That was pretty series finale-ish.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

It hasn't been renewed yet, but it hasn't been cancelled yet either.

That makes sense. From how the episode ended, that is.
