Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Art Crawl!!!

Hee.

I have or had or have. . . can't decide - this worry that an Eight is going to shoot Helo. You know, because he won't be able to tell it isn't Boomer.

That piece that talked about David Tennant dating Georgia Moffat mentioned that his last 3 or 4 girlfriends have all been women that he met on the set of Doctor Who.

I need to rewatch Charlie Jade because I found it confusing.

Next week's BSG looks EXCELLENT. It's the last one before who knows when, isn't it?

All is well that ends in pizza.

That piece that talked about David Tennant dating Georgia Moffat mentioned that his last 3 or 4 girlfriends have all been women that he met on the set of Doctor Who.

The new Dr Who is already at 1000% the sexuality meter of the old series.

It's a wonder there aren't sexcapades breaking out amongst the crew by comparison.

Art Crawl!!!

Oh, and I was sure that Baltar had talked that Centurion into leading a rebellion and then Boom!

But it's only a matter of time, right?

And will the Doctor's daughter be evil? Or will she come in at the end of the day and save things?

Bad Wolf

But it's only a matter of time, right?

Oh for sure, those Centurions are gonna F shit up.

And will the Doctor's daughter be evil? Or will she come in at the end of the day and save things?

I'm guessing the latter.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

She's going off without any guidance, so she'll probably do a little of both. She is his daughter!

Anybody else get a Kristen Bell/Sarah Michelle Geller vibe from her?

Art Crawl!!!

Oh, yes - very Buffy/Veronica or other butt-kicking small blondes.

And - that BSG was one of Jane Espenson's???!!??

Excellent work.

Re: DW

My brain's handwaving logic circuits are very erratic. They're perfectly willing to accept instantaneous DNA replication, but balk at these "children" being created fully clothed.

I did not realize I was such a die-hard shipper until I was shouting "Kiss her already!" at the screen and then waving my jazz hands at the above dialogue.

This is me, except I did know I was a diehard Bill/Laura shipper, and have been since he kissed her back in S2. I've been wanting those crazy kids to get together for so long now, and this ep made me very happy.

Also loved that Baltar's security "slip" has finally come to light, and that I really thought that Laura was going to let him die.

Actually, just about everything about this ep made me a happy BSG fan. Deanna choking Cavill (and Boomer running like a frightened bunny), then her faking out Roslin and keeping her secrets to herself for maximum leverage, even her caring about Baltar's injury (I forgot about their little threesome!). Helo's being the decent, honest man he is, but still the good soldier and following orders. The faux Athena being shown (yet again) that Sixes can't trust anyone. Baltar's duplicitous side coming out in his trying to weasel his way into a centurion's psyche. Topped off with that final scene.

Can't wait for next week!!
